The proposal for the POLIKLINIKA was conceptualized as continuous displacement of light. In other words, the interior design was conceived to gain space and luminosity to an already reduced program through the use of clear surfaces, folding ceilings and directional lights that run along the whole system in order to link all spaces into one.
In the laboratories (as the heart of the Policlinic), the furniture was thought as constant surfaces displayed along the walls having some islands as working spaces while the ceiling projects indirect light through the whole space and punctual lights where it is needed most. The other areas have the similar treatment. The waiting room is not only connected to the interior of the system but also is displayed to the outside Façade by means of a translucid-transparent skin. The ceiling also behaves as a linking element of the out-in space emphasizing the access.
